Donald Trump the First Drug-Free President in 24 Years

Donald Trump is going to be the first president in 24 years to have never used any illegal drug, according to the Daily Caller.

The president elect has long claimed that he has never smoked cigarettes, drank alcohol or used illegal drugs.

The three previous presidents have all admitted to using drugs or refused to deny that they had used them.

Barack Obama admitted to using alcohol, felony marijuana and felony cocaine during his high school and college years.

“Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it,” wrote Obama in his 1995 memoir, “Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.”

President George W. Bush admitted to a drinking problem and while running for president in 1999 would not deny that he had used cocaine.

And in 1992, Bill Clinton claimed he had smoked marijuana but said he “Didn’t inhale”.

Trump cites his deceased brother Fred’s losing battle with alcoholism as one of his motivations for staying sober and says he tried to instill the same values in his children.

According to the Washington Examiner. His children Eric and Ivanka both said that “every day of our life, ” he told them not to use drugs, drink, or smoke.

Speaking at a 2015 New Hampshire town hall, then presidential candidate, Donald Trump said future generations of Americans will have a better chance of being successful and living happy lives if they are encouraged to live a straight-edged lifestyle.

“If you don’t drink and you don’t do drugs, your children… are going to have a tremendously enhanced chance of really being successful and having a good life,”

“The world is so tough and it is so competitive that you can’t put yourself, as a child, or even as a parent, if you want that child to be successful, at a disadvantage of letting them drink or letting them take drugs because it is not going to work,” Trump added. “They are going to be at a tremendous disadvantage and ultimately they may not recover.”

“I’d say, ‘No drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes,’” he said. “‘No drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes.’”
