Former NYPD commissioner Bernard Kerik calls out Democrats for promoting gun control and trying to divide the nation vs uniting us so soon after the tragic event when a gunman opened fire on concertgoers in Las Vegas, killing 59 and injuring 527.
“The one thing that they do not need are political leaders who will use this shooting to further their own political agenda or to do nothing other than stir the political pot, to create chaos in their opposing political parties. This is not the time!” Kerik wrote in an op-ed for Fox News.
“For once… can we not turn an American tragedy such as this, into a political issue, while there is still blood on the ground? Can our political leadership have more concern for the grieving families of the dead than they do their own political careers?” Kerick wrote.
He clarified his position on Fox and Friends first by stating that this is the exact reason people voted for Donald Trump, “They are sick of Washington, they’re sick of the political rhetoric”. He went on to call attention to the people who have not been identified and families that have not been notified that their loved ones have been killed and politicians have already jumped on the bandwagon already talking about gun control.
In an example, Hillary Clinton made what Kerik called a “ludicrous” statement on Twitter that a silencer would have exacerbated the situation.
The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots.
Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get.

Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders said we need a closer eye on who gets a hold of guns, and Nancy Pelosi called for a select committee on gun violence.
It should be clear that we have got to do everything we can to stop guns from falling into the hands of people who should not have them.

“Bernie Sanders’ statement is right,” Kerik agreed. “Don’t do that like within hours after this thing happened. Don’t do that before you even know what happened and before the families have been notified.”
“For God ‘s sakes, these people haven’t even turned cold yet.”
“It’s just bizarre to hear these politicians, and it’s strictly political.”
