Jerry Seinfeld has riled-up a few people who felt the comedian disrespected the controversial Black Lives Matter movement on Twitter.
The former sitcom star was tweeting to promote a new episode of his Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee series on Thursday (January 26), starring Lewis Black.

Seinfeld has since been criticized for the joke from numerous impressionable Twitter users.

Regardless of the criticism, the comedian also had his fair share of support for the pun.

Seinfeld isn’t the first person to be witty with the Black Lives Matter slogan. Last August, an Italian restaurant in New Mexico caught hell for running a “Black Olives Matter” promotion.
Seinfeld has previously expressed his dislike for “creepy” political correctness and has not respond to the backlash, or delete the tweet.
